Reform and Extension of the Club Tennis Tarragona

The building of the social club is a singular piece of a high worth value. His most characteristic constructive elements are their bend columns, with the beams and the tensor cables holding up the projecting balcony.

The project maintains this structure and treasures it. Emphasizing the singularity of the existent structure, the new building wins a modern image inspired by the minimalist esthetic: horizontal aluminium sheets reveal the inclination of the structure and filter the excess of light.

To improve the functionality of the building, a total internal redistribution is done, increasing the useful area by 45%.
Besides this, the project tries to make a better use of all the open spaces, the accessibility, integration with the surroundings and strengthen the specific (functional and plastic) character of the entire complex.
