Rehabilitation main office building Ficomirrores Mollet, Barcelona
The project propose the total renovation of FICOSA International central offices as a new international reference centre of design and technology innovation in vehicle car components in all their different production lines.
The façade of main building in completely renewed, leaving the internal structure intact. The access is emphasized by a new volume over the ground level accessible through a new ramp.
The finishing materials and textures of the new façade point out the actual volume mass but give more lightness feeling, where the new horizontality is articulated with certain elegance.
An "english patio" (underground courtyard) is created all along the main façade allowing more light to the underground level and obtaining double height space at all the engineering areas.
