Preliminary study for Dream Hotel Havana, Cuba

This preliminary study is for the proposal of a new hotel and convention center in Havana, Cuba.
It begins with an analysis of the site considering their peculiarities, morphology, accessibility, visuals, limits, natural hazards and urban context to raise an intervention that generate a kind dialogue with the surrounding environment.
Its architecture is inspired by the Old Havana with its patios and public spaces.
The preliminary project is composed of a convention center and shopping center which is located at the base of the building and three upper floors. In this volume towers are disposed which are divided into two high standard with a total of 700 rooms. The towers are crowned with "infinity pools" with panoramic views of city and the Caribbean Sea.
