Camping Castell Mar, Castelló D’Empuries. Girona, Spain

The Castell Mar camping is a tourist facility with an environmental vision located in the middle of the Ampurdán Wetlands Natural Park and intended for people who seek contact with nature and are especially interested in local fauna.
The camping allows the observation of a great variety of birds that nest in the Rubina wetlands.
Based on these premises, this proposal tries to develop the environmental vision of the campsite and improve the relationship with its surroundings through specific interventions inside this facility, its perimeter and outside (re-naturalization / landscape recovery and protection of local fauna).
The objective is to ensure that the visitor can enjoy birdwatching and that the tourist can do activities consistent with the natural park's protection strategy, making tourism sustainable.
The proposal is developed in conjunction with the ornithologist and naturalist Jordi Sargatall
