Study of envelope systems and exterior finishes for the façade of the Marina Badalona Hotel, Barcelona. Spain
The facades of the hotel has a modular composition.
The opacity of façade sections responds to the intention of orienting views and achieving the visual effect of a deployed sail.
The volume of the upper floors has shortest transparent facades, with curtain wall systems and the longest stretches with solid, smooth white appearance of SF01, (composite panel)
For the lower floors of the hotel, the proposed facades are "double skin" type with solar protection slats and a system with exterior finish of concrete panels.
All the elements will be prepared to resist the action of the marine environment.
