Preliminary Study for a Educational centre in Higuera de las Dueñas, Ávila.
The estate in Higuera de la Dueñas, is placed in a greatness place by Ávila. The existing house is 400m2. The local materials with the stone conditioned the constructive proposal.
The proposal is composed by many surrounding buildings, which configured a seminar centre with accommodations for 50 people. Seminar rooms, living rooms and leisure places are the functions of this complex.
The place contains a large amount of open spaces which are distributed in terraces at different levels in order to have flat space over this small hill. Moreover it's projected a little courtyard to make a control space, but it also to feel the real essence of a great house.
The aim of this project in to rehabilitate and adapt the main house and create new set of buildings surrounding it in order to accommodate the new uses such as the seminar centre.
