Masterplan and concept for the Barça City Parc. El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona

The project is located in the south west of the city of Barcelona, at the natural area of Delta del Llobregat, where we conceptualized a masterplan.
The site is considered a point with great potential, tangent to Castelldefels highway (C31) and near the airport of Barcelona (El Prat), so with a good international connection.
It is also an unique area for its landscape quality.
After an extensive work on the concept, we have defined a strong idea capable of structuring the entire area: 2 playful tours, one of the characters and the other on important events in the history of FC Barcelona , as a DNA interlace moving in the same direction and create spaces.
These two paths are influenced, in the morphology of its tour, by the two landscape systems that we can find in the area: the character's tour makes reference to the landscape of lakes and wetlands of the Delta de Llobregat located at the east of the park, while the event's one makes reference to the agricultural mosaic fields that characterize the western side.
The area of forest that stands between the site and the sea also penetrates inside the park creating buffer zones and isolation.
