Preliminary Study for the Hotel Huerto del Emir. Murcia, Spain
The proposal consists of the rehabilitation and reform of an existing structure of 20 floors in the center of the city of Murcia.
The idea is to transform this building into an attractive icon with a prominent presence as a reference image of the city.
To achieve this goal, we propose the construction of a skin that conceptually meets a "vertical garden" in reference to Murcian crops and that will also penetrate the building.
The hotel use will continue, but with a new contemporary air, providing it with new dynamic activities committed to social use, sustainability and environment.
