New Pals urban plan have developed an exhaustive analysis of the municipality by touching different themes which: its history and general information, the existing planning, water system, land use (forest system, agricultural system, humid zones system, coastal system), natural ecological values, infrastructures, roads and paths, settlements, singular elements (heritage), urban centres, cultural interest elements, routes and viewpoints and the tourist infrastructure.
Consequently we have developed a landscape study that has helped us to find its 5 landscape units: forest landscape, agricultural landscape, landscape of water and humid zones, coastal landscape, cityscape. There we also have analyzed various landscape values presents and the landscape dynamics tha can explain recent or current processes that bring to its transformation.
Finally we were been able to propose a diagnosis of critical points and a methodology which: requirements of the territorial plan, urban microsurgery, municipal mobility, sustainable planning, preservation of open space systems, promotion of activities in not building spaces and tourist diagnosis.
