Proposal general plan for Ferran, Tarragona
The project search the conservation of the traditional urban form and the conservation and renovation of the Castle square, as well as the protection of the green areas and the improvement of the road access from the highway.
The urban growth proposal stands for the street continuity, the typological built parameters and the public space system of plazas that the town already has. The actual walnut tree is preserved and forms part of the new plaza.
A new set of public and private equipment buildings is proposed towards the north part of the town. New green areas and a residential strip are designed with the same typology of traditional constructions, respecting the image of the town.
