Underground parking at Corona de Aragó Square. Salou, Tarragona

The project is located at municipal property at the existent Plaza Corona de Aragó, where there was a surface parking. The site limits are with Navarra and Rioja streets and to the south and east part to the actual Plaza. The parking building is conceived as an underground piece which gives for public use their cover roof and keeps the actual internal roads at south and east side. The parking has 128 car places of 2.30 x 5.00m with two disable places of 3.20 x 5.00m with one way direction of 5.00m width.

The internal circulations are separated and the main access is done through the corner, with an initial slope of 5% that increases to the 17%. Two pedestrian access are designed as well, one besides the car ramp and the second through a cover stair at the opposite part of the plaza. Fire evacuation regulations and architectonic barriers specifications are accomplished. With all this, we try to design a modern and spacious underground parking, where the comfort in the daily use will be easy to obtain.
