Preliminary Project for an underground parking in the Can Mantega square. Barcelona.

The place where will implant the parking occupies proximally the north half of the current extension of the Gardens of Can Mantega, in the perimeter marked by the confluences of Joan Güell street to the east, Violant of Hungary street to the north, Torrent of Perales street to the west and the extension of the axis of the Melcior de Palau street to the south. The project of the underground parking is related to the use as public square on his cover where we leave a minimum thickness of lands of 1'50 m for possible vegetal plantations, canalisation of underground services, etc. The parking is planned in diet of rotation and/or subscriptions, and therefore it has to be adapted by users with big vehicles type van. The current plot where we place the parking (Gardens of Can Mantega) is a big flat esplanade of 150 x 90m roughly, which use fundamentally is for recreational outdoors activities. The project consists of two underground plants with a built surface of 8.870'89 m2 , with a capacity of 320 places of parking of which we reserve 5 to disabled people. The resultant average repercussion is of some 27'41 m2/square. The entry and the exit of vehicles is realise for two ramps of 3,90 m of width with access and exit tangent to the Joan Güel.
