Lighting Concept and Ambience Study of the Carmen Mateu Gardens, Peralada. Gerona, Spain.

The concept implements the basic techniques commonly used for the artificial lighting of parks and gardens that are based on different degrees of luminosity depending on the area.
Areas with dim lighting are established, others with intense luminosity, areas where light crossings are proposed, and concrete spaces where light decorations are installed.
To highlight some species of plants or trees, the backlight is used, with uniform luminous backgrounds and to dose the points that should be illuminated, doing it in such a way that the light helps to give the colors liveliness and nuance the different tones.
The design is thought to avoid light pollution, so upward light distribution is avoided.
