Competition for new stops selling animals and spatiality in Barcelona Ramblas

The goal of the contest was to find a formal solution for the new features in the specific environments of Las Ramblas in Barcelona, posing a referential urban equipment to house the new stops, ordering the public space at the same time.
We try to give more space to the pedestrians delimiting the size without forgetting to propose a more friendly space for people. The dimensions are 2x4x2,4m for the smallest and 4x11x2,40m for the largest, and they are positioned on the southwest side of the Ramblas to take sunlight in the morning.
The smallest option is projected or with three or with one open side according with the product it contains (ice cream, books, tickets, advertising for local products etc.). The largest, to accommodate birds, is more open with a completely transparent façade to relate animals with the outside.
They open to pedestrians in a simple and light way without losing its composition and at night they close and illuminate with soft colours.
